fresh fish daily

It just happens to be against us. We got home yesterday to find that the air conditioner (built in 1979) had leaked through the newly mudded ceiling, onto the newly installed, but as yet unfinished, hardwood floors. Fantastic. Crisis was averted thanks to a clever cousin and relentless husband, but the damage (to our will and happiness) has been done.

We’re done with this freakin’ mess. So tonight we move out – down the street to the Dowler Community Centre where there is air conditioning, a functioning kitchen, and a beer store that will be sans guard for the next two days!

On the bright side, the eyeball/lid situation is much better and I haven’t yet been asked today if I spent all night crying.

I need to take up the drums. For serious.
